Privacy and cookies

Your audio
Your recordings are processed inside your browser tab on your own computer. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and we can't see or keep them. Closing the tab clears them from memory. The only exception is a file you choose to email us under our refund promise: we use it only to fix it and delete it within 30 days of closing your request.
Payments
Book passes are paid for through Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe's checkout page, not on ours, and we never see your card number. Stripe shares your email address, the amount paid and whether the payment succeeded with us so we can set up your pass and answer questions about it. Stripe's own use of your details is covered by the Stripe privacy policy. We keep payment records for as long as UK tax law requires, currently six years.
What your browser stores
- Your account reference: a random code kept in your browser's local storage that links you to your book pass. It isn't a cookie and it isn't used for tracking. Our server stores the same code with the time left on your pass, its expiry date, your purchases and the length of each file you download, but never the audio itself.
- Your cookie choice: whether you allowed analytics, so we don't ask again.
Reviews
If you leave a review, we store your rating, what you wrote, the name you give and whether you agreed to it being shown. We only publish it on this site if you ticked that box, and we show the name exactly as you typed it. To have a review changed or removed, email us.
Security checks
When you start a payment we may run Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that tells people and bots apart without a puzzle in most cases. Cloudflare sees technical details from your browser to do this and doesn't use them for advertising. Our server also counts requests per IP address for one minute to block automated abuse. Analytics
Only if you choose "Allow analytics", we load Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. They set cookies and record how pages are used, such as which pages you visit, clicks and scrolling, with anything you type hidden. We use this to see which parts of the site work and where people get stuck. Nothing is shared with advertisers. If you choose "No thanks", neither tool loads. You can change your mind at any time from the Cookies link at the bottom of each page.

Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@nimblepanda.co.uk. If you're unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
